- Baggage Fees, Weight Limits and Dimensions
- Vision Airlines does not require purchase of checked baggage for transportation. Each passenger is permitted one (1) Personal Item and one (1) Carry On (when permitted) in the cabin of the aircraft at no charge (See restrictions below). The maximum total number of checked items is five (5).

- Carry On Baggage
- For Dornier 328 Flights, no "Carry On" bags are permitted, but each Passenger may bring a "Personal Item" in the cabin meeting the Max Size and Weight restrictions. Standard Size Carry On Bags (9x14x22 inches or not exceeding a sum of 45 linear inches) will be gate checked as a valet bag for Dornier 328 Flights. The baggage will be collected prior to boarding and made available for pickup plane side on debarkation.
For all other flights, in addition to the one (1) Personal item, each Passenger is permitted one (1) Carry On meeting the Max Size (9x14x22 inches or not exceeding a sum of 45 linear inches) and Weight restrictions.
In addition to the one (1) Personal Item and one (1) Carry On (when permitted), each passenger may carry, within reason: a coat, an umbrella, reading material, food for immediate consumption, infant restraining device or passenger assist/comfort animals and devices.
All Carry On baggage must be retained in the passenger's custody and stored under a seat or in an overhead compartment approved for the carriage of such baggage. Carry On baggage which remains in the custody of the passenger is the sole responsibility of the passenger. Vision Airlines will not accept claims for lost, forgotten, or stolen Carry On baggage.
Acceptance of Carry On baggage is subject to space availability on the aircraft at the time the passenger boards. If adequate space is not available, Vision Airlines may require that the baggage be checked.

- A per segment, per piece fee of $15-$75 shall apply for all baggage checked on Vision Airlines (see Baggage Fees, Weight Limits and Dimensions above for fee amounts). The total outside measurement of each checked item must not exceed eighty (80) inches. The Maximum total number of checked items is five (5). For Advanced Purchase of more than two (2) Standard Size Checked Bags, Overweight Checked Bags or Sports Equipment, please call 877-359-2538.
Baggage allowance may be restricted due to lack of space on certain Vision Airlines' aircraft.
Vision Airlines allows active US Military personnel to check one piece of baggage free of charge.
If your baggage doesn’t arrive on-time or in the condition in which it was delivered, it is important you report your lost, missing or damaged property to Vision Airlines before you leave the airport. - Damaged/Lost Baggage
- Vision Airlines makes every attempt to assure your baggage is not lost or
damaged. However, if your baggage doesn’t arrive on-time or in the
condition in which it was received, it is important you report your lost,
missing or damaged property to Vision Airlines before you leave the airport.

- TSA Screening
- The TSA recommends that passengers leave their baggage unlocked as Federal Security Screeners may have to open and physically search a bag as part of the screening process. Vision Airlines assumes no liability for items lost, damaged, or confiscated as a result of security screening.
- Liquids allowed for carry-on must be 3.4oz or less and placed in a clear quart sized zip lock bag;
- Baby formula and baby food, and breast milk are allowed in reasonable quantities exceeding 3.4oz and are not required to be in the zip-lock bag. Declare these items for inspection at the checkpoint;
- Passengers dependent upon syringe-injected medications my carry on such items;
- Knives or sharp objects will not be allowed in carry-on baggage or past the security checkpoint. Any sharp items you may need in you travels should be packed in your checked baggage.

- The following articles are classified as hazardous and must not be carried in baggage: compressed gases, corrosives (such as acids and wet batteries), explosives (such as fireworks and munitions), flammables (such as matches and lighter fuels), poisons, magnetic, and radioactive materials, as well as all other items restricted by government regulations.
Certain articles are considered dangerous and are not permitted beyond the security screening checkpoint. These items include, but are not limited to, weapons, cutting instruments of any kind, ice picks, straight razors, metal scissors with pointed tips, metal nail files, corkscrews, baseball bats, golf clubs, pool cues, ski poles, and hockey sticks. Vision Airlines assumes no liability for items lost, damaged, or confiscated as a result of security screening.

- Batteries
- Lithium batteries are permitted in your carry-on baggage, but are not allowed in your checked baggage. When packing a device that contains batteries, please secure it against activation by locking the activation key switch to the “off” position and place the device in a protective case. - Electronic Devices
- Devices you cannot use at any time on Vision Airlines are two-way transmitters such as walkie-talkies, amateur radios, citizen band (CB) radios, 49 MHz transmitters, devices designed to radiate radio frequency energy on specific frequencies, peripheral devices for computers or games connected by cable AM/FM radios, remote control toys, Bluetooth-enabled devices, personal air purifiers and simulated smoking devices.
Devices that you can sometimes use (please note that you can only use these devices while the plane is at the gate with the doors open or after the plane has landed and is taxiing to the gate), include cell phones, one and two way pagers.
Devices that can be used while the plane is at the gate with the doors open, after the plane has taken off and reached its cruising altitude and before it begins to descend for landing, and after the plane has landed and is taxiing the gate include personal computer, personal computer games, CD players, digital cassette tape players/recorders, video recorders, calculators and GPS systems.
Devices you can use on Vision Airlines include hearing aids, heart pacemakers and other implanted medical devices, electronic watches, electronic nerve stimulators and electronic shavers.

- Small musical instruments may be carried onboard the aircraft providing they meet existing carry-on size requirements and fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you.
- Conditions of Acceptance
- Fragile and Perishable Items: Vision Airlines will refuse to accept property for transportation that is not suitably packaged to withstand ordinary handling, that is of a size, weight or character which renders it unsuitable for transportation on the particular aircraft to be used, or that cannot be accommodated without harming or annoying customers. Fragile and perishable items (see examples below) may be accepted if appropriately packaged in an original factory-sealed carton, mailing tube, container or case designed for shipping such items or packed with airline-approved, protective material. However, fragile items without appropriate packaging may, at the sole discretion of Vision Airlines, be accepted upon the execution of a release form furnished by Vision Airlines, releasing Vision Airlines from liability for damage to, loss or spoilage of contents, or delay in delivery resulting in damage to such items.
Examples of fragile and perishable items: glass, plastic, artistic items, pottery, wood, electronic / mechanical devices, including computers with or without carrying case, flimsy garment bags, liquids, musical instruments, papers, food, plants, flowers, photographic equipment, toys and unsuitably protected recreational and sporting goods.

- The following are special items that will be accepted as checked or carry-on baggage, subject to specified conditions and payment of charges when applicable:
1. Firearms: In accordance with Federal law, a customer who presents baggage containing a firearm must sign a declaration that the firearm is unloaded and placed in a suitable locked, hard sided container before such baggage will be checked. Ammunition is not allowed onboard a Vision Airlines aircraft.
2. Child Restraint Systems: A child restraint system will be accepted for transportation in the customer cabin, only if the restraint system can be stowed beneath the seat or in an approved overhead compartment; or when an additional seat is reserved for the infant, a ticket is purchased and the restraint system can be properly secured by the seat belt. The infant may not be secured in the restraint system during ground movement, takeoff, landing or any other time when the “Fasten Seat Belt” sign is on, unless such restraint system is government approved.
3. Seat Baggage: When determined acceptable by Vision Airlines, an item of baggage may occupy a seat (selected by Vision Airlines), providing the customer accompanies the property, the item meets specified dimensions, can be properly secured by the seat belt, reservations are made and the applicable fare is paid.
